Painterly Bowl

23.00

Shella Parry is potter working in our home town of Clevedon. She makes work on her kick wheel, which is a process of throwing clay on a wheel entirely powered by the power of your legs. The physical input of working on the kick wheel means that Shella is totally in tune with every movement and mark she makes with the clay. We feel her work is brimming with life, alive with the joy of the process.

These Painterly Bowls have a lucid surface of glazes that flow and overlap. Each one is entirely unique in it's painterliness, running from whites, browns and blacks. These Bowls are not only very good looking, they are also a very good size, perfect for breakfasts or dinners. The colouring of the bowls sits wonderfully against natural materials like wood.

Remind us slightly of Ian McKeevers paintings.
