St Davids Cross Grey Throw

165.00

Melin Tregwynt can be found in a small white washed woollen mill nestled in a remote wooded valley on the Pembrokeshire coast. There has been a mill there since the 17th century, when local farmers would bring their fleeces to be spun into yarn and woven into sturdy Welsh wool blankets.

This St Davids Cross Throw in Grey is the perfect addition to any sitting or bedroom. The most subtle of colours that we get in from Melin Tregwynt, there's no mistaking that it is Welsh but there is a feeling of Scandinavian simplicity to this piece. An historic pattern inspired by early 18th century Shaker weaves. Developed at the mill in the 1980's by Howard Griffiths, second generation of the mills family, it's a modification of the Vintage Star design. It displays strong characteristics and beautiful reversible weaves, without being over the top.
