Wood Fired Tumbler

32.00

Rebecca Proctor is a ceramicist based in North Cornwall. Her work adopts a soft muted palette that reminds us of pale rocks found on the shoreline. The fact that she uses locally sourced clay adds to that sense of place in her pottery. Subtle facets or speckled glazing makes Rebecca's work intriguing and ever satisfying to use.

The shino glaze of these pieces have a gorgeous subtle contrast between pink, greys and whites, the colours flow into each other across the surface. The crackling of the glaze is rugged yet structural, complimenting the rawness of the form. Wood Fired at Kigbeare, Rebecca is part of the Kigbeare Anagama Kiln group led by Svend Bayer, these Tumblers are left to fire for 5 days and nights. The results are outstanding and clearly very special with a rich toasted raw clay underside and the ever changing colour as the light bounces off them.

The perfect vessel for hot or cold drinks.
