Leach Pottery Large Bowls

from 65.00

In the depths of Cornwall, situated in St Ives, the Leach Pottery has been producing the best studio pottery since 1920. Over the last hundred years it has forged the shape of ceramics in the UK and beyond. Scores of potters, students and apprentices, from across the world have trained there, creating a uniquely international environment in the heart of Cornwall and maintaining the Pottery's creative principle of East/West exchange. The Leach Pottery is considered by many to be the birthplace of British studio pottery. One of the great figures of 20th century art, Bernard Leach played a crucial pioneering role in creating an identity for artist potters across the world.

These Leach Bowls are large centre pieces for your table. Perfect for fruit, salads or even placed as beautiful pieces in their own right. Glazed in Dolomite these bowls have a beautiful pale quality, contrasted by the raw clay lip. Incredibly well made and just so good looking.

Statement pieces from the finest West Country pottery.
