Chloé Rosetta Bell is a recent graduate from the Royal College of Art. Her distinctive pots are recognisable for their paired back earthiness. A sense of land & sea, coastal ruggedness and elemental materials always have a presence in Chloé's work. Often embarking on projects focused on telling a story about place, she researches & develops a body of work until it gives an essence of purpose. This journey of development leaves each piece balancing on the edge of art & function.

These Oyster Shell Dishes are quiet in their simplicity, steady in their form and strong in their story. Chloé visited Porthilly Oyster Farm last winter, where she spent time understanding the process involved in sustainably farming oysters. From that visit she went on to create a glaze from the waste shells of the oysters, capturing the stony whites and greys of the surface. These Dishes hold a quality which we think evokes a sense of the slow process and thoughtfulness in design.

We can't help but think of Modernist Sculpture when we look at the form and colouring.

You will now find these Dishes being used at Kitchen Table London, where they serve Porthilly Oyster.
