This Black Stem Board is made by Jono Smart for a collaboration project called 'Winter Flowers'. Jono is a contemporary ceramicist with a meticulous eye for detail. From his studio based at Amners Farm he produces functional tableware centered around design.

'Winter Flowers' is a project based on the seasonal turn, a celebration of the Winter months through making, foraging and curating. We wanted to work together to produce a set of ceramics that would sing the praises of the turning seasons. Jono focused on natural colouring found in the Winter palette, while we foraged from the Somerset hedgerows for the last burst of life before the plants rest. 

This charred black board was made in Devon specifically for Jono's stem vases which are thrown to cherish the small finds found on a Winters walk.
