Daisy Cooper’s connection to the landscape is clear and simple. She searches for a sense of wilderness through her rugged forms; each piece bares the marks of the making process much the same as the environment leaves on the landscape. Having grown up in rural Scotland, Daisy now connects herself back to those rural roots through her ceramics made in London.

This Vulcan Black Dish with a frost white interior was made exclusively for Midgley Green. Designed to be a centrepiece for a table or sideboard, we asked Daisy to make a large, striking dish that would reflect the aging rocks of the British Isles. Extremely textural and very satisfying to touch, this piece is as full of authenticity as it is beauty.
