Charcoal Brush Stroke

40.00

Tilly Hemingway is a London based ceramicist, her practice focuses on functional pottery which is designed with an awareness for interior. Each of Tilly's pieces are striking in their own right yet we love the presence that they bring to the surrounding space in the home. A brush stroke in the glaze might move your gaze around the room, from pot to painting and back again. The artistic input, whether that is painterly or sculptural, makes Tilly's work playful and engaging.

As many of us move our gardens inside, bringing nature into the home, we have brought 4 of Tilly's planters into the shop. This Charcoal Brush Stroke pot is raw and earthy, it reminds us of Eduardo Chillida's bold marks. We adore this pot for it's gutsiness and unsaturated vibrance.

We'll be filling our own home with many more of these.
