Concrete Cones

Jack Bailey, of Havelock Studio, is a designer maker based in the North Downs of Kent. Originally trained as an architect, Jack's practice now focuses on products rooted in concept and purpose. Using traditional and modern manufacturing, Jack marries materials together seamlessly. Often sourcing timber from his families’ woodland that he manages, there is an undercurrent of sustainability and provenance within his work. He believes good design must use good materials and we are inclined to agree.

These Concrete Cones are a beautiful design solution for your tea lights. They emit a calming glow which varies in quality across the two models. The short Cone allows the flame to do all of the talking while the the Tall Cone forms an ambient light that is created by the shape which guides the flames glow upwards. Gathered together theses pieces remind us of modernist architecture, separated they take on a more sculptural feel. Not only do they look fantastic, they perform incredibly well as functional objects. Glass holders get very hot where as the concrete used here will only ever warm. The cork bottom allows you to safely place the Cones anywhere you wish.
