Whinblossom is a ceramic studio shrouded in a sense of place, a connection to landscape and an idea that an object can be engrained with the breathing soul of the surroundings. Chloe Burke started Whinblossom as a idea that her love of the rugged cliffs found around the Isle of Wight could be portrayed in her ceramics. Using minerals, raw material and forageables from around the cliffs of her home, Chloe throws these into the making process. The colours, textures and liveliness of the work makes Whinblossom one of our favourite studios working today. 

This bowl is beautifully formed with an elegant shape contrasting the roughness in the surface. It could be used around the home for many different reasons but we like to think it might sit proud as a sculptural reminder of the elements from the cliffs.
