Amalia Pothecary and James Osborn started making soy wax candles in 2014 as an alternative to buying their traditional paraffin counterparts. Concerned about the impact burning paraffin had on the air quality in their home the pair were keen to investigate a more natural alternative. The Botanical Candle Co. was founded in 2015 and they now hand pour, pack and despatch hundreds of candles every month from their studio in Shaftesbury, Dorset.
