Claire Kinsella uses locally foraged willow along with her own grown crops to create her utterly wonderful baskets. Traditional in every way yet there seems to prevail a modern look to her work. Curved edges meet straight lines, the rustic material is weaved into contemporary forms. Claire has a skilled that comes naturally to her, from the basketry process itself right through to her keen eye for spotting hedgerow gems to incorporate into each piece. 

Woven in North Somerset this Grey Rope Twist Basket has a lovely shallow form. Claire has used a straw grey willow which gives off a calm confidence. This Basket has a very natural look, the grey pops off almost any wall colour making this a fantastic piece to display. It is perfect in it's symmetrical weaving, a real corker. 

Why put anything in it when you can just admire the skill used to make it.
