Tilly Hemingway is a London based ceramicist, her practice focuses on functional pottery which is designed with an awareness for interior. Each of Tilly's pieces are striking in their own right yet we love the presence that they bring to the surrounding space in the home. A brush stroke in the glaze might move your gaze around the room, from pot to painting and back again. The artistic input, whether that is painterly or sculptural, makes Tilly's work playful and engaging. 

As many of us move our gardens inside, bringing nature into the home, we have brought 4 of Tilly's planters into the shop. The O>= planter is a nod to modernist design with it's angular additions on the facade. The exterior clay appears to resemble lime stone in it's colouring, this is brought to life by the contrast of a deep black interior.
