Jack Bailey, of Havelock Studio, is a designer maker based in the North Downs of Kent. Originally trained as an architect, Jack's practice now focuses on products rooted in concept and purpose. Using traditional and modern manufacturing, Jack marries materials together seamlessly. Often sourcing timber from his families’ woodland that he manages, there is an undercurrent of sustainability and provenance within his work. He believes good design must use good materials and we are inclined to agree.

This Origami Trivet has been made to be as functional as it is sculptural. Cast in concrete, these Trivets are perfect for your kitchen side or coffee table to hold hot pans or dishes. Designed hexagonally as a pleasing shape in itself but also to cleverly allow you to piece together multiple Trivets to create a larger surface. The concrete is hardwearing and ages beautifully; Jack has made these to last. We just love them, they are a simple and beautiful solution to protect and enhance your surfaces. Each Trivet is finished with a food safe sealer and backed with cork to make sure it can be placed safely anywhere.
