Painterly Vessel

Leighan Thomas is a contemporary potter based in Oxfordshire. Her approach to making reflects her tastes in quietly muted, simply functional pieces. An exploration into clay makes Leighan's work ever playful with a grown up aesthetic. Raw earthiness meets smooth lively glazes in an amalgamation of process and ideas.

This Painterly Vase has a fluid surface. Muted in it appearance, there is a subtle undulation in the design. It almost looks as if it's been left out in the rain, washing away a once bold band of colour. We adore the calm of this piece.

Leave as it is to be admired or place a some garden cuttings in from time to time.
