Rebecca Proctor is a ceramicist based in North Cornwall. Her work adopts a soft muted palette that reminds us of pale rocks found on the shoreline. The fact that she uses locally sourced clay adds to that sense of place in her pottery. Subtle facets or speckled glazing makes Rebecca's work intriguing and ever satisfying to use.
The blues and greens found in the glaze of these mugs could almost reflect the dark winter sea around the North Cornish coast. When the water goes deep in colour, you would never enter but will happily admire from a distance. The mute matte of the surface is broken up by speckled and dripping of the glaze. These beautiful mugs are the perfect everyday vessel for your tea or coffee.
