Short Chamfer Board

Jack Bailey, of Havelock Studio, is a designer maker based in the North Downs of Kent. Originally trained as an architect, Jack's practice now focuses on products rooted in concept and purpose. Using traditional and modern manufacturing, Jack marries materials together seamlessly. Often sourcing timber from his families’ woodland that he manages, there is an undercurrent of sustainability and provenance within his work. He believes good design must use good materials and we are inclined to agree.

Loosely influenced by traditional Japanese roofs, these Chamfer Boards are elegantly designed to give the illusion of architectural floating. Made from Oak and finished with a linseed & beeswax recipe, the surface is teeming with character. The underside angle of the Board makes picking up and placing down easy.

This Short Board is a perfect size to serve a handful of pastries or a small selection of cheeses.
