Jane Crisp is a maker who is totally in tune with the material she works with and the traditions surrounding it. Based in Hale Fen, Cambridgeshire, Jane became interested in the boat building technique of steam bending while living on a boat in the Norfolk broads. These skills have lead her to the use of sustainably sourced timber and locally found wood. Her sculptural forms, curving and intertwining, are intriguing and utterly beautiful. 

These Steam Bent Bangles are a lovely use of wood and a great way to wear a natural material. They are held together by a copper rivet which looks simply beautiful. Light and comfortable to wear all day long. 

Ash - the palest wood
Cherry - the mid tone wood with a touch of warmth
Walnut - the darkest wood with deep browns running through it
